At 22:46 Fire Board dispatched Companies to 23 E. Baltimore @ Dunkin Donuts for the working Bldg fire. Engine-19 arrived to heavy smoke pushing from the bldg with fire through the roof. Crews led off with a 3" handline through the front door. Truck companies took care of roof work and ventilation while additional handlines were stretched. All fire was in the large void space between the ceiling and roof, with the exception of some drop down fire. The bldg was evacuated due to the volume of fire above interior crews, with the weight of an Hvac system on the roof. Crews re-grouped and attacked the fire from the perimeters of the danger zone. The bulk of the fire had been knocked down with the exception of one hot spot that remained around the area of the roof unit. 3 supply lines were dropped and several handlines placed in service. Companies 19, 16, & 24 with 09 for the R.I.T. were on the original dispatch. Special calls were made for Company-03 at 22:54, and Canteen-47 at 23:42. Companies started clearing the scene at approx 01:00.
